Midori Pierce

User Experience Researcher

Years ago, I set out on a college journey of exploration that introduced me to new interests and fields of study. Transitioning from the realms of mathematics and science, I eventually found myself immersed in the world of data science, where I was enthralled by its capacity to glean insights and make predictions across diverse domains.

Fast-forward to today, as I prepare to graduate with my Master of Information Management Systems (MIMS) from the UC Berkeley School of Information this May, I am thrilled to see my interests and knowledge aligning. My focus has shifted towards user experience research, bridging the gap between technical complexities and user-friendly solutions, informed by a background in social psychology in information and a keen understanding of social issues surrounding information.

Projects & More

In my journey as a UX professional, I’ve engaged in diverse projects that have shaped my skills and expertise. I’ve had the privilege of evaluating the accessibility of non-profit emergency response mobile apps for individuals facing communication barriers with accesSOS. I’ve delved deep into understanding employee personas, particularly in the context of cybersecurity onboarding in project A. Collaborating closely with an engineer and designer, I co-created a video game focusing on the game’s replayability and immersive experience through Tiny Nano.

Take a look at the full list of projects I have worked on over the years.
